Discovery Place is a paradise of kid-friendly science exhibits and presentations. The museum's Discovery Halls are usually occupied by temporary exhibitions such as "Action! An Adventure in Moviemaking" and “Body Works” along side permanent exhibits like the aquarium, a collection of North American animals (stuffed and mounted), an amateur radio education center, and the machine shop where kids can learn how planes work.

Discovery Place also has many live programs and demonstrations. A favorite of many is a chemistry experiment where children receive freshly made scoops of liquid nitrogen ice cream. There’s also a daily "Rat Basketball" game, animal feedings and the rainforest animal encounter experience. The museum also houses an IMAX theater that regularly shows educational features about nature or animals and even first-run movies.

Discovery Place is a great way to teach kids about the world they live in and get them involved (and maybe even excited) about learning through interactive exhibits. There’s a ton to explore here and kids (and adults) won’t be disappointed.
