Carolina Renaissance Festival
Held weekends from Oct. 6 through Nov. 18 the Carolina Renaissance Festival takes place just north of Charlotte between Concord and Huntersville on Poplar Tent Rd. Tickets are $17 for adults, $6 for kids ages 5-12, and free for hildren under 5.
Yiasou Greek Festival
Held each September in conjunction with Charlotte Shout! the Yiasou Greek Festival is a Charlotte favorite featuring traditional Greek food, dancing and entertainment.
Charlotte Wine & Food Weekend
Each May you can tickle your taste buds with culinary treats and wine tastings courtesy of Johnson & Wales University and other local sponsors.
Discovery Place Museum
Charlotte's very own science museum provides entertainment and education for the entire family. Permanent exhibits include a Life Center, a rainforest and an IMAX theater.
The Charlotte Museum of History
Built in 1774 the 5,000-square-foot Hezekiah Alexander Homesite is oldest structure in Mecklenburg County and reason enough to visit the Charlotte Museum of History.
