Festival in the Park 2012 Schedule of Performances

Live music and a family atmosphere has always been a huge part of Festival in the Park

Festival in the Park/Freedom Park
While Festival in the Park may be known for it's artisan booths, the entertainment is always a highlight as well. Seven stages are set for the 2012 festival with magicians, clowns, an incredible diversity of live music and more.

Main Stage

The main stage will showcase some of the area's best live music from a variety of genres.

Charlotte Folk Society Stage
The Charlotte Folk Society is dedicated to promoting the enjoyment and preservation of traditional and contemporary folk music, dance, crafts and lore. At the Charlotte Folk stage, you can hear tales, join in dance workshops with live fiddle and banjo music, learn basic clogging steps, learn to play a dulcimer, or just sit back and enjoy the music and dance performances that include a variety of styles.

Carolina Clowns Stage
Carolina Clowns is a charitable organization of volunteers that come together to give to the community through clowning. All four clown types are represented in the organization: Auguste, White Face, Character, and Hobo. The Carolina Clown Stage will showcase clown skits and games, magic shows, interaction with kids and facepainting.

Magician's Stage
Hannibal the Magician will entertain visitors with roving close-up and street magic on Friday and Saturday, while stage performances will be scheduled at the top of the each hour on Sunday during the festival. There will never be more than a few minutes before another presentation.
