Southern Christmas Show 2012

The 2012 Southern Christmas Show, one of the most popular holiday show in the nation, will signal the start of the Christmas season for most Charlotte residents. Close to 150,000 people visit the show over 10 days, and with good reason. Featuring over 500 merchants, vendors and exhibitors with virtually anything related to Christmas, and hundreds of Christmas gift ideas, the show gives shoppers the chance to browse for Christmas ornaments, home decor (both Christmas related and year-round), gifts, dolls, wine from local wineries. There is food available on site. The building will have cafeteria-style food, as well as concession-style food. There’s also strudel, roasted nuts, hot pretzels, and lots more traditional "show" favorites.

The show is divided into several sections, including Olde Town, which is a village of over 50 shops. In between the shops and aisles of crafts, dips, salsas, soups, cheese and candies, with dozens of free samples to be had. The show's opening day (Thursday, Nov. 8) is usually the least attended day of the show. Monday and Tuesday are the next least busy, but the show does close at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Advance tickets will be available at regional Harris Teeter stores two weeks prior to the show.

Parking: $6 at the Park Expo and Conference Center and Bojangles' Coliseum

Valet Parking: The Park will be offering valet parking for the Southern Christmas Show. This front-door service will allow show guests to pull up right across from the show entrance, and also make loading those packages afterwards a snap. Valet parking can be purchased at the normal entrances to the main parking lot. Cost is $15 (cash only-normal parking charge is $6). If the main lot is full, there may still be valet parking available, so please let the police officers directing traffic know you want to valet park.

Wheelchairs: $1.00 rental available on a first come first serve basis. Valid driver's license or ID required.
