This guide will assist Charlotte-area voters in the 2008 General Election to be held on Tuesday, November 4. Find key dates, polling locations and registration information.

Key Dates

  • Oct. 10: Voter registration ends at 5 p.m. for the general election
  • Oct. 16 - Nov. 1 One-Stop Voting takes place where you may register to vote and vote at the same time at the same location.
  • Nov. 3: Mailed absentee ballots must be received by 5 p.m.
  • Nov. 4: General Election, 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Where to Vote in Mecklenburg County

In Mecklenburg County, there are several early voting locations available for one-stop voting between Oct. 16 and Nov. 1.
