By

Beating the heat during a Carolina summer can be tough to do. But, Charlotte area movie theaters offer a cool option for your family summer outings. For just $1 per ticket a few local theaters offer a family-friendly previously-run films. Just be warned that they're first-come, first-serve so you'll need to be there early. A big trend this year also seems to be free outdoor movies, with many local parks offering kid-friendly features.
