This is an excellent resource to see how your neighborhood schools are performing based on standardized testing results and teacher performance. This site also provides helpful information like average class size, school enrollment and school administration information. Tax-free Back-to-School Shopping
Take advantage of the tax-free weekend for your back-to-school shopping expedition Friday, August 7 through Sunday, August 9. Clothing, footwear, and school supplies of $100 or less per item; school instructional materials of $300 or less per item; sports and recreation equipment of $50 or less per item, computers of $3,500 or less per item; and computer supplies of $250 or less per item will be exempt. The state of South Carolina also offers a tax holiday the same weekend.
