Oak Ridge Military Academy is a college prep military school in the city of Oak Ridge in Guilford County, North Carolina. It was established in 1852 by the Quakers (Society of Friends) as a finishing school for boys and quickly became one of the best prep schools in the state. In 1972, it was the first military high school in the United States to admit female cadets. It is currently the third oldest military school in the United States still in operation. It is also the only active military school to have won the National High School Drill Team Championship. NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. is an alumnus of the school.
The academy is divided into a middle school (grades 6 to 8) and a high school (grades 9 to 12).
