Events at the Iredell County Fair
A glance at the 2013 fair schedule shows tradition events like racing, chainsaw carving,an illusionist, a demolition derby and so much more! There's also judging in over 20 events, from gardening to photography. Of course, you'll also find plenty of vendors with your favorite fair foods.
The Iredell County Fair is designed to "promote local agriculture, improve participation by youth in agriculture and educate the public about the impact of agriculture on the community." The Statesville Kiwanis took over the fair in 1946, and it serves as their primary fundraiser each year.
This isn't just the only fair around. In fact, there's probably at least one more close to you! North Carolina is home to over 30 different county fairs. Click here for a look at each one.
