Discovery Place Closed September 2-3

Discovery Place in Uptown will begin a multi-year renovation in January 2009 that originally was slated to shut the museum down for 14 months. Now, they've changed their renovation plan and will keep the museum open during most of the renovations with periodic closures.
However, the museum will be closed Tuesday, Sept. 2 and Wednesday, Sept. 3 although the IMAX theater will remain open. The museum will reopen on Thursday, Sept. 4.
