Matthews Alive Kicks Off Festival Season

Friday August 15, 2008
Every year since we've lived in Charlotte my family and I have attended Matthews Alive over Labor Day weekend in Downtown Matthews. It's a great venue for families with children of all ages complete with games, rides, arts and crafts, live music and a parade.

This year's Matthews Alive Festival runs from Friday, August 29 through Monday, September 1 and ushers in a month filled with Charlotte's favorite festivals, like the Yiasou Greek Festival in Dilworth and the great Festival in the Park at Freedom Park. Check out Charlotte's Fall Festival guide for dates and locations of the 2008 events.

Woo hoo! Matthews Alive is the epitome of a great small-town festival. Very much looking forward to it, although I won’t be going on any rides this year. My stomach can’t take it.
