Charlotte Chef Loses in Hell's Kitchen Finale

Charlotte area catering director Louis Petrozza lost in finale of Fox's Hell's Kitchen reality cooking extravaganza. Recent culinary graduate Christina Machamer won the grand prize and will serve as executive chef at Gordon Ramsay's Los Angeles eatery London West Hollywood.

As a fan of the show, I was pulling for Charlotte-resident Petrozza and was sad to see him lose. But, you can be sure he'll make the local media rounds in days to come. This season's cast featured three Charlotte-area chefs, including Petrozza, further cementing Charlotte's place on the country's culinary map.
